Built in the 1990s Bangkok Golf Club is found 35 minutes from central Bangkok. In 2003 the Asian Tour's Volvo Masters was hosted on this course. Unfortunately, after the flood of 2011, the course had to a undergo massive renovations that lasted a year. With 6800 yards from the back tees the play is short but the lightning fast greens on the course also holds a few unexpected surprises. Nature has been allowed to flourish and the gardens are home to foul and deer. Players need to hit the narrow fairways and avoid the water hazards on the par-3s to score well. The par-3 11th is the best short hole and players must hit a strong tee short over the water and carry the bunker that blocks the front of the green. In 1991, the par-5 9th is a double dogleg that received commendation for being among the best 500 golf holes by Golf Magazine. The caddies are well versed in the greens. Players can have a Thai massage, shop, use the locker rooms, eat at the different restaurants and take part in night golf on the floodlit course. A dedicated chipping area, driving range and putting green are available for practice sessions. You can book a holiday package and stay at the hotel.
