Between Bangkok and Pattaya, along the Bangkapong River lies the Bangpakong Riverside Country Club one of the first courses to be built along this strip of land. The course is mostly favorable for more experienced players. 'Green' golf course maintenance has been adopted in order to protect the ecology of the area. As a result the course has numerous plants and animals giving the entire course a more refreshed feel. The layout of the course is flat and has rice paddy fields all around it. Wide fairways offer good playing condition for inexperienced golfers. Off the fairways there is some thick rough which does not hinder the balls from sitting up straight. Players can thus advance easily. The prevailing winds coming from the Bangkapong River make play long on some holes. This is most noticeable on the par-3 holes which also have water carries and distances measuring 200 yards. A few holes will require the player to make blind shots over lakes and trees. The river is constantly winding around the course and comes into play often. The clubhouse is well-kept with good facilities. The driving range and practice area are also good.
