Bangpra Golf Club holds the distinction as one of the oldest golf courses in Pattaya when it was first built in 1988. It wasn’t until 1988 that it underwent a major upgrade through the cooperation between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Japan Golf Professional, Incorporated, making it the first ever golf facility built purposefully to promote the Thai golf and tourism industry. To this day, Bangpra Golf Club still happens to be one of the most beautiful Pattaya golf courses, boasting tropical flora in a parkland environment surrounded by dense forests. Out of the 18 holes, the most challenging holes can be found on the front nine, and the outward nine, where golfers are faced with bunkering and water hazards greatly increasing the challenge. This mature course with fast greens also boasts a luxurious and modern clubhouse with Japanese-style baths. After all, the golf course was designed by the Japan Golf Promotion Co., Ltd. It may be one of the oldest golf courses, but it is also one of the most established, and can still hold its own against the newer and ‘younger’ golf courses springing up left and right in the Pattaya area.
