The Blue Canyon Golf and Country Club embraces an original 18-hole layout and leaped to fame after its selection as the 1994 Johnnie Walker Classic Venue, which has happened twice again since that first occasion. Blue Canyon is a world-recognized golf course which constantly ranks among the top ones in Thailand. Its setting is within a deserted tin mine. Antique features drawn from the mining era include streams of rust-colored water, canyons having sheer cliffs plus tailings from ancient mining operations.
Experience fairways lined up with palm-oil trees on fairways while playing across the front nine holes. The back nine are even better especially with the 11th to 15th holes, forming the stretch of best five in Thailand if not the entire Asia. Par-5 11th hole features a challenging 600 yard play having fairway water-crossing upon taking the first shot, with water guarding guards while doing the third shot, left and right.
The 14th Par-3 is famous and plays over huge canyon, with Par-3 14th being among the most beautiful right from elevated tee to island green. Par-3 17th is among the trickiest shots to take as well. Blue Canyon still remains as an authentic icon of Thai golfing experience.
