Japanese architect Thai Takenaka designed Crystal Bay Golf Resort, which is 27-hole and got opened in 1988 for play, being then called Natural Park Resort. It has been owned and run under Legacy golf property group since 2010. The Crystal Bay course is just 45 minutes away from Pattaya, 1.5 hours from Bangkok and close to Sriracha. It is described as Hawaiian style course, having holes lined with palm trees, together with outstanding tee boxes, fair greens and lush fairways. The 27-hole layout used in the Pattaya golf course has several hazards plus three nine-hole golf courses varying in elevation. Links-type holes occasionally mix up with styled fairways on course.
Bunkers are integral to determining play, therefore rendering it imperative to make precision shots. Par-4 dog leg 3rd hole and the 8th par-3 island holes are relatively enjoyable and interesting. Water used easily beautifies the course and is not just a hazard. More birdie opportunities are available than others on this course, which offers great chances of playing to ones handicap or better. Conditions on the golfing course vary around the year. Golfers can enjoy affordable Thai cuisine and have soft drinks in the clubhouse to crown up their game.
