The 18-hole par-72 Loch Palm, 6,555-yards golf course forms one among the most prominent Phuket courses. It nestles underneath an extensive range featuring jungle-clad hills. Easy-going Lock Palm is quite formidable still to many golfers. Palm trees as suggested by its club tag are dotted around the parkland layout adopted liberally, though not too densely.
The best strategy is retaining the golf ball on dry land with the front nine as many holes play alongside a sizeable lake, the Loch. The 2nd hole is short and among multiple holes which test nerves of golfers playing around the water barriers. A par-5 has significant portion of huge, open bunkering. Shots that go off-mark extremely require taking longer lengths for the best results.
There are tighter, more inclined holes at the back nine, beginning with the testing yet short downhill par-4 10th one. The par-5 11th hole is rather challenging and equally tight, with new villas visible to its left. Par-3 14th hole plays downhill to some green besieged by water from three sides. Golfers too may utilize the golfing carts available. The club house dishes out authentic Thai cuisine at friendly cost, though overall the golf resort might need some makeover.
