Muang Kew Golf Club was redesigned by Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt and is known for its highly maintained course. The greens are protected, elevated with huge side catchment areas, a design that is rare in Thailand. Approach shots are possible on the wide fairways. On the back-nine, the par-5 13th, players have to make a blind shot as well as an approach shot over the water hazard. For short hitters you'll need to bite a bit off the dogleg to get on the green and hit more than 150 yards over the water. if you make a short approach shot to the right on the par-5 18th, your ball will land in a blind pool. For the best Western food in Bangkok visit the Muang Kew clubhouse. Players can purchase a wide variety of men's and women's golf clothes from the Pro Shop. Muang Kew is more than an average golf course especially because of the Tiff Eagle turf greens and Paspalum grass fairways. The downside to this course is the lack of a driving range, the old clubhouse and the outer ring road which runs between the 12th and 13th holes.
