Summit Windmill measures 6964 yards and is legendary for the challenge it presents to all players. This course's popularity is routed on its location, 30 minutes from Bangkok, and on the fact that it is well-maintained. Summit greatly resembles a park with its numerous wildlife, reptiles and birds that can be found on the course. Water hazards are a common feature with a lake to the left of the par-5 1st. Designed by Nick Faldo, the course has contoured fairways and well-kept, water-protected par-3s particularly the 12th hole. The par-4 9th is a risk-reward hole. To make the fairways of varying heights and to make hills, a lot of earth was moved. The course gets its tropical feel from the palm trees lining many of the fairways and landscape that was purposely designed. There is little rough and players have to be satisfied with hitting to the elevated greens and making do with the severely undulated putting surfaces. Most greens are fronted by larger bunkers. Most of the holes have angled teeing areas playing to dogleg fairways. The clubhouse needs a bit of work. It houses the locker rooms, restaurant and a few other facilities. The surrounding houses are separated from the course by canals. There is also a serviced residence adjacent to the clubhouse. Night golf is permitted. You need to book tee times at a fee and the weekends are very crowded as the course is popular among locals and those on holiday.
