Thana City Golf and Sports Club is only 25 minutes from downtown Bangkok. It is one of Greg Normans few designs in Southeast Asia. The par-72 course measures 6,966 yards and has been the venue for a number of professional tournaments. The landscape is filled with native trees and flowering shrubs, reeds, grasses and heaps of sand create a seaside illusion. Players will need to make accurate tee shots to avoid bunkers on fairways and make a good score. Should you stray far from the wide fairways, you'll face a challenge hitting out of the wiry semi-rough. The seemingly wide fairways often get narrower forcing players to make a challenging approach shot to the greens. There are several high-lipped bunkers particularly on the green. Approach shots are needed for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 12th holes situated on the island green. The par-4 18th measures more than 440 yards, has a water hazard on the right and around the green necessitating a long iron or wood approach as well as a bunker on the right and left. Players can score a bogey. Other facilities on this course include the clubhouse, swimming pool, driving range, practice facilities golf academy and a top-range pro shop. There are also dining facilities.
