The Wangjuntr Golf & Nature Park is as distinctive as its unique-sounding name. While it’s true that its layout is similar to Bangkok’s Rose Garden Golf Club, designer Prasobchai Kasemsant still made sure it stands out from its other contemporaries. Located in the seaside province of Rayong, the Wangjuntr Golf Club & Nature Park has twin golf courses – the Valley Course and the Highland Course – each with 18 fairways and 36 greens. Add to that an unspoiled landscape, and you are looking at one of the most spectacular golf courses in Thailand. In the 7100-yard Valley Course, you can play on a heavily sloped green on par 3, 15th hole, or right on a cliff, on the 17th hole. Incidentally, the Valley Course’s par 5, 11th hole also happens to be one of the longest par 5s in the country. On the other hand, the Highland Course, is the longest course in Thailand, at a whopping 7600 yards. With the longest par 5 at 690 yards, this is definitely the more difficult and challenging course. To complete the Wangjuntr Golf & Nature Park experience, there are cabins, a golf lodge, a bird sanctuary, and a clubhouse where guests can unwind.
